Austin 2020 Cancellation Announcement
Due to the continued uncertainty caused by the current COVID-19 pandemic, it is with great regret that the Board of Directors has decided to cancel the AFTE 2020 Annual Training Seminar in Austin, Texas that had been rescheduled for October 2nd – 8th. This has been a difficult decision, but the safety of our members and attendees is our primary concern.
At this time, we have no reason to believe the cancellation will impact the AFTE 2021 Annual Training Seminar in Miami, Florida.
AFTE 2020 registrants who wish to cancel their registration can e-mail candrews@helmsbriscoe.com and request a refund. Registrants who wish to have their registration (including workshops) moved to Miami need to take no further action at this time.
To administer the necessary business functions of the Association as required by our Bylaws, a virtual Business Meeting is in the process of being organized. In order to further comply with the Bylaws, a voting quorum will be required. We will need as many voting members as possible to attend this virtual meeting. Specific details regarding the virtual Business Meeting will be sent to the membership in a separate email.
We wish to thank the Austin Host Committee, and all those who worked so diligently during these uncertain times, for their years of preparation for this training seminar. We are truly saddened with this unprecedented decision.
