AFTE is Seeking Host Location Proposals

AFTE is seeking proposals from agencies / locations to host the annual training seminar.  Specifically we are looking for agencies / locations that are willing to host the training seminar in the year 2022 or later.

AFTE 2019 will be hosted in Nashville, TN, AFTE 2020 will be hosted in Austin, TX and AFTE 2021 will be hosted in Miami, FL.  Wouldn’t you like to join the list of agencies / locations that have hosted this seminal event for Firearm and Tool Mark Examiners?

If this interests you and you know for sure that you would like to become a host location or even if you are in the beginning stages of consideration, I would encourage you to reach out to any AFTE Board member or a past host committee member as they will be able to provide you with insight into the joys of being a host location.

To begin searching hotel locations and viability of your city being a host location please reach out to Helms Briscoe as they are the company AFTE works with to manage hotel contracts.  Joni Adams Joni.Adams@HelmsBriscoe.com or Cheryl Schreiner CSchreiner@HelmsBriscoe.com will be the individuals to specifically reach out to.

The Board of Directors asks for anyone or any agency or any consortium of agencies who is interested in hosting AFTE 2022 or later to please reach out for more information.  We would love to be able to hear proposals at our mid-year meeting in November 2018 or most certainly by the next training seminar in May 2019.
